Nanaimo
February 17th 2022

Our trip had not officially started although the first campground that we pulled into to spend the night was on February 17th. We arrived at Living Forest Oceanside Campground & RV Park located in Nanaimo BC and this was to be our trailers new home for a fortnight.

Our time spent in Nanaimo was mostly consumed with driving lessons and a road test but we did manage to find a few interesting things. We checked out this local bakery named Mon Petit Choux for breakfast and had some lovely eggs benedict. We also checked out another bakery named Hearthstone Artisan Bakery that had delicious breads and pastries. We went for several walks around town and also checked out the local war museum on one of our afternoons.

The local Country Grocer was wonderful to shop at and had $0.99 chocolate pudding 4packs that I kept buying every time we went.

Although Nanaimo probably won’t be our favorite city we visit it was a fun place to start our trip. The campground was great and had decent pull through spots making it easy to park our RV.
